With lots of love and patience, we taught him to drink from the bottle. Llama Lilly has taken him under her wing ever since, leading the way while Pim follows everywhere she goes—she is his great role model. In the evenings, they lie side by side in the barn, with little Pim sleeping sheltered by her large, warm body. Unfortunately, he does not seem to have developed entirely properly, possibly due to an acquired brain defect. We want to have this examined with a CT scan under anesthesia, but for him to safely undergo the procedure, it is best for him to weigh over 30 kilos.

High fever

A few weeks ago, he suddenly fell gravely ill with a high fever, left swaying unsteadily on his legs. We stayed up with him for three nights, administering anti-inflammatories, pain relief, antibiotics, and electrolytes, though we feared he wouldn’t make it. Yet he pulled through and bounced back! Fortunately, he now eats hay and grass alongside the others, wanders around curiously, makes little buck-jumps, comes running over for his bottle, and… he now weighs over 35 kilos!
