Alpaca Beach Walk2026-08-05T11:11:04+02:00
BEACH WALK
WITH
ALPACAS
ALONG THE DOMBURG COASTLINE

Get a breath of fresh sea air with our alpacas

Year-round | Ages 10+ | Duration: 1–2 hours

Stroll along the Zeeland coastline with your feet in the sand and a gentle alpaca by your side. Our animals absolutely adore the beach! They love the crisp sea breeze and every now and then leap joyfully through the surf. Will you join us?

We adapt to the peaceful rhythm of the alpacas as we wind through the dunes and along the shoreline between Domburg and Westkapelle. Along the way, there is plenty of time to ask questions and take stunning photos with the ocean as your backdrop. During this relatively active trek through the dunes and sand, you will lead the alpacas yourself. Because we swap handlers along the route, you’ll get to meet different personalities. There is more than enough time for selfies and a lovely group photo, which our team will happily take for you.

Clothing Advice (Important!)2026-08-05T10:59:19+02:00

Our alpacas adore the sea and love walking through the water all year round. Because we adapt the walk to what the animals enjoy, there is a high chance your feet will get wet. If you are not dressed for this, you may not be able to lead an alpaca for part of the walk.

Always bring:

  • Clothing that can take a beating (dress in layers—it gets windy on the coast!).
  • A complete set of dry clothes, socks, and shoes for afterwards (leave these in the car).

Seasonal tips:

  • 🍂 Spring / Autumn / Winter: High rubber boots, a wind- and waterproof jacket, and a warm beanie or hat.
  • ☀️ Summer weather: Shorts, water shoes, sunscreen, a cap, and a bottle of water.
What happens in case of bad weather?2026-08-05T11:01:06+02:00
  • Minimum number of participants: The beach walk takes place with a minimum of 4 participants.
  • Bad weather or extreme heat: In the event of thunderstorms, heavy rain, snow, hail, extreme heat/crowds, or a weather forecast of 5 Bft or higher, the walk unfortunately cannot take place.
  • How we inform you: If we need to cancel the walk, we will try to let you know by 8:00 PM the evening before via email or phone (please note: we call from an anonymous number).
  • Last-minute changes: Zeeland weather can sometimes change unexpectedly on the day itself. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest updates.
beach walk and high tea

“An incredible beach walk”
Prior to the walk, we received clear instructions on how to handle the leashed animals. The guides were knowledgeable, caring, and attentive. Afterwards, we returned the animals to their pastures and learned a lot about their care and behavior. Highly recommended!

“Well worth the drive!”
Booked a walk with the alpacas on Sunday morning. It was a bit of a drive, but absolutely worth it! Sweet alpacas that walk calmly and love taking a quick sprint when they see the water. So much fun! The caregivers/guides were very friendly and passionate. We will definitely come back! 🤩

“So wonderful to see”
It was a really fun experience walking with the alpacas on the beach. You can tell the guides truly care about the animals. So heartwarming to see. We stayed in a cottage right next to the pastures where the alpacas graze—highly recommended. We had a great few days!

“Unforgettable experience! 😃”
Had a super fun beach walk with the alpacas near Domburg. We surprised our mom for her birthday and it was top-notch. Welcomed at the farm itself, and after a brief intro, we drove to the beach. 🏖️
