Welcome to Alpacas Zeelandia! To ensure your visit runs as smoothly and pleasantly as possible, we have outlined all practical details and house rules below. This way, you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Accessibility & parking

• By car: We have a private parking area with 35 spaces. During busy periods, it can fill up quickly. We recommend coming by bicycle or public transport where possible. For navigation systems, please use the following address: Prelaatweg 69, Aagtekerke.
• By bicycle: Arriving by bike? Wonderful! You can securely park your bicycle in the bike racks near the ticket office.
• By public transport: From Middelburg railway station, take the bus toward the Sintjan ten Heere stop. This bus stop is just a 100-meter walk from our entrance.

Tip: Bus schedules in Zeeland can vary. Plan your outward and return journeys in advance using the 9292 journey planner to avoid surprises.

Allergies & intolerances in the AlpaCafé

At our cozy AlpaCafé, you can enjoy a fresh cup of coffee alongside a delicious treat or grilled cheese sandwich. Our selection is carefully prepared by Bakery Schrieks, and all proceeds directly benefit our Alpaca Rescue Center!

• Please note regarding allergies: Because we offer a small, artisanal menu, we unfortunately do not store alternative products for specific intolerances or allergies.
• All products are prepared with—or may contain traces of—nuts, lactose, and/or gluten.

Accessibility

We aim to welcome every visitor seamlessly in the future, but at present, Alpacas Zeelandia is unfortunately not fully accessible for wheelchair users or visitors with mobility impairments. Our experience path consists partly of wood chips, uneven terrain, and thresholds. We also do not currently have an adapted accessible restroom available.

Important house rules
(For the safety of humans & animals)

Our alpacas (and our free-roaming chickens, turkeys, and cats) mean the world to us. Because we provide sanctuary to rescued alpacas with sensitive backgrounds, we kindly ask you to respect the following rules:

• No dogs allowed: No matter how friendly your dog is, alpacas instinctively view dogs as predators. To prevent stress, dogs are strictly prohibited across our entire grounds.
• Do not feed the animals: Feeding the animals on our farm is strictly forbidden. Many of our (rescue) animals are on strict diets or medical care. Incorrect food can be life-threatening for them.
• Stay behind the fences: Entering the pastures, leaning over fences, or climbing on enclosures is not permitted. Some of our rescued alpacas have behavioral sensitivities and may react unexpectedly to perceived intruders.
• Smoke-free grounds: Our entire premises are 100% smoke-free. This minimizes fire hazards and prevents free-roaming animals from ingesting litter (such as cigarette butts).
• Follow instructions: Always follow the directions of our tour guides, caretakers, and volunteers carefully. When we treat each other and the animals with respect, it guarantees a memorable experience for everyone!
