These General Terms and Conditions apply to every private activity organized by Alpacas Zeelandia. Deviations from these terms are only valid when agreed upon in writing.

1. Execution

Alpacas Zeelandia does its utmost to deliver the private alpaca activity properly and according to expectations. Participation in the private alpaca activity is entirely at your own risk. You must always follow the instructions of the Alpacas Zeelandia staff.

2. Booking

Private activities can be requested by email. Send an email indicating the type of activity, several dates that suit your schedule, and the number of participants to [email protected]. A reservation is only final once we have issued a written confirmation.

3. Confirmation and group composition

For the private activity, you will receive a confirmation by email detailing the date, time, and number of participants. Participating with more attendees than indicated is not allowed. Changes to the number of participants can only be requested by email up to five days before the day of the activity. You may only bring extra participants with our written permission, subject to paying the additional fee. Alpacas Zeelandia reserves the right to refuse a group on the day of the scheduled activity if the group composition conditions are not met.

4. Payment

Payment for private activities must be settled within the specified period.

5. Cancellation

Alpacas Zeelandia applies the following cancellation conditions if you are unexpectedly unable to participate in your booked private activity:

• Up to 14 days before the activity:

  You can cancel or reschedule free of charge; we will refund the amount paid, minus a €65 administration fee.

• Cancellation within 14 days before the activity:

  No refund will be provided.

• Individual participant cancellations:

  The same conditions apply for canceling individual participants (rather than the entire group). We always maintain a minimum fee of €520 for private activities.

Cancellations must be requested via email at [email protected].

• Cancellation by Alpacas Zeelandia:

  If we cancel the activity due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, we will notify you by email, usually by 6:00 PM on the day prior to the scheduled activity at the latest. If the activity cannot be rescheduled, we will refund the full amount.

  Due to sudden unforeseen circumstances, we may occasionally need to cancel on the day of the scheduled activity itself. Please check your email regularly, including on the day of your visit.

6. Start time

Please arrive at the agreed time. Your private activity will start and end on time. Do not arrive more than 10 minutes early, as we may not yet be ready to receive you.

7. Dress code

Please ensure your clothing is suited to the activity you have requested:

• Beach Walk & Beach Combos:

  • Spring/Summer: Waterproof shoes, shorts, hat or cap.

  • Autumn/Winter: High rubber boots, windproof and waterproof clothing, warm hat.

  • Wear layers of clothing to stay warm in overcast or chilly weather; it is always cooler by the sea. Always bring dry clothes, shoes, and socks.

• High Tea and Forest, Farmland & Rescue Combos:

  • Spring/Summer: Always bring an extra sweater or cardigan.

  • Autumn/Winter & chilly days: Bring extra warm clothing. Heaters are available in the AlpaCafé, but the temperature cannot be set too high for the well-being of the animals.

8. Liability

Participation in activities is at your own risk under all circumstances. You must follow the instructions of Alpacas Zeelandia staff. Alpacas Zeelandia cannot be held liable for damage caused by failure to follow these instructions. Furthermore, Alpacas Zeelandia and its staff can never be held liable for missing, lost, or damaged personal belongings.

9. Alpacas

As a guest of Alpacas Zeelandia, you are primarily a guest of our alpacas. Alpacas are curious, intelligent, and sensitive animals. To ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone:

• Listen carefully to the instructions given to you.

• Feed the alpacas only the food supplied by Alpacas Zeelandia.

• Never leave trash or food scraps behind.

• Behave calmly, do not shout, and do not chase the animals.

• Smoking is strictly prohibited across the entire grounds.

In cases of misconduct of any kind, you will be asked to leave the premises without entitlement to a refund.

10. Dogs

Dogs are not allowed anywhere on the premises. Dogs are also not permitted on any of the Alpacas Zeelandia walking programs.

11. Allergies and (food) intolerances

We cannot cater to specific dietary allergies or intolerances. If you have an allergy or intolerance, you are permitted to bring your own food and/or non-alcoholic drinks. However, no discount will be applied to the activity price.
